quiet in the grasp of dusk and summer.

The last of the beach trip posts.

We got snacks. I got Diet Coke with lime. I don't normally drink soda, but this is my go-to in the summertime.

We went to Broadway at the Beach. There was walkway where you could see fish and ducks. The fish were really scary.

We took photobooth pictures.

Then that night we walked on the strip. The blurriness of this picture is the result of me walking and trying to take pictures while the light was fading.

I think my floppy hat was basically the center of this whole trip. I love my floppy hat.

The last day we were there, we woke up to watch the sunrise on the beach.

when i think about you, i think about seventeen.

Samm, Katie, and I hung out at the Garde house the night before we left for the beach. Cole played his Amurican music and introduced us to the most ridiculous apron I've ever seen. Samm pronounces 'milk' like 'malk.' We made ourselves a chocolate cake and I finally won the homemade Sorry! game. We laughed a lot and threw dice at each other and I stole some girl's sunglasses. Not a bad way to start off the rest of my summer nights.

already gone.

I graduated high school. I cried. Lonnie bought me pearls and flowers. The very next day I left for Freshmen Orientation at UNC Asheville. A day after that, I left for the beach. More pictures and posts to follow.

time makes you bolder.

Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?

Things have been kinda crazy. I've been trying to adjust to working and not being in high school anymore. I'm in a weird transitional stage and I guess I'm just going through the motions. This summer has been a whirlwind so far and it's only just begun. I'm excited and I'm scared and I don't really know what the fuck I'm doing.

The month of June is a busy one.
