Turn around, we're making sound but only for the noise.
And what if I could live like this, but not forever?
And what if you could move the needle to a more forgiving song?
And what if this was never really broken all along?

I took some pictures of Samm for AP Art. In an attempt to make this blog primarily photos, I figured I'd use them as a way to force myself into the swing of bloggin' since I haven't taken any other photos since.
Samm has finished a watercolor painting using the first photo reference and is currently on her way with an acrylic painting of the last one.

As for me, I am currently dabbling in the wonderful world of oil paint. After completing a small study of fruit and enjoying it, Mrs. Sowle has decided that I'm ready to dive into a portrait.
I'm scared shitless.
But I am using the large scale portrait as an excuse to get myself a palette like Bob Ross.
Whaddup. Instant painting badass.

Besides AP Art, preparing for competition in dance, attempting to choreograph my senior solo, getting WAY behind in yearbook (what even are deadlines? I mean, really.), trying to find the perfect prom dress, trying to get enough scholarship money together to kick-start my college life at UNC Asheville, working out at least once a week with Katie (when it really should be 3 times that), keeping my relationship with the boyfriend steady, making sure my room, bathroom, and closet all stay neat and tidy for once in my life, learning to understand that I have to grow up eventually and friends all leave and grow apart and that is all a part of life, and attempting to understand the tiny, native speaker student teacher in Spanish, nothing else has been going on in my life.

You know, nothing new.

P.S. This little lady is so inspiring. I've spent the last hour just soaking up her blog.

  1. Wow. Those pix of Samm were great. She looks like a totally different person. Some of the best I've seen you do.
