Today was my last day of high school. Officially. Somewhere between art and yearbook, I got roped in to come in for some more last minute end of the year things on Tuesday, but that's a different story.

My heart is heavy and light.
I spent the day making sure everyone signed my yearbook and snapping pictures of everything I didn't want to forget on my disposable camera.
I bought four of the famous "Central Cookies" and ate 3 of them already.
At lunch, Emily asked me what all I'm going to miss which got me thinking:

the theatre
the Central stank
Central cookies
anything that has anything to do with art class
all the old yearbooks
football games
the hallways with the green and gold paint and the dark green lockers

This is a really sappy post, but it needed to be done. My high school is the place where I met and lost my best friend. I fell in love and I had my heart broken. I learned a lot and I grew up. I made a lot of dumb mistakes and some of my best decisions.
I have laughed, cried, screamed, danced, sung, and kissed in that building.

Now, don't get me wrong, I am not one of those kids who believes high school is the golden age of one's life and everything afterward just sucks. But as far as high school experiences go, I have been very lucky. I met the best people and I had a lot of fun. I grew more than I could imagine, and in my opinion, that is best thing.

Since I obviously haven't gotten the disposable camera pictures that I took today developed yet, I felt the pictures above from last week's lake trip would work. They do a good job of giving both a glimpse of the future summer ahead but also a quick look back on the past four years.

Time is a funny thing.
